Heatily Sausage & Peppers


  •  1 package of Italian sausage (~1lb or 5 sausages)
    • or vegan/vegetarian alternative
  •  1/2 yellow onion, sliced thick (thick batonnet)
  •  4- 5 large garlic cloves chopped fine
  •  3 bell peppers, sliced thick (thick batonnet)
  •  2 tablespoons olive oil
  •  1 Soft Italian roll (French works, too)


  1. Set skillet/pan to medium- high and cook peppers for 2- 3 minutes.
  2. Add onions at the same heat level. Cook another 2 minutes.
  3. Add garlic. One minute later, lower heat to medium- low. Cook another 2- 3 minutes or until garlic goldens.
  4. Add sausages directly to skillet/pan (making contact so it can char) and raise to medium heat. Cook 6- 7 minutes. Then raise heat to high for 3- 4 minutes or until sausages are thoroughly cooked through and lightly charred/ blackened. 
  5. Smother in Heatily sauce in the skillet/pan and simmer on low heat for 1- 2 minutes (Basic Batch or The Ghost depending on your spice level preference). 
  6. Cut the bread roll in half to make 2 subs. Then slice each sub open and add the Heatily-smothered sausage and peppers.
  7. Dig in!

Makes 2 sub sandwiches or 4 dishes.
