INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
3 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
1/4 cup parsley leaves, chopped
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese - or more for preference
1 tsp Salt and Black pepper
1 fresh sourdough baguette (or your favorite)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Place ground sirloin in a large mixing bowl. Indent a hole with your thumb in the middle of sirloin.
- Add egg, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, parsley, cheese, and a little salt and pepper inside indent.
- Mix up meatball ingredients until well combined.
- Divide mix into 4 equal parts, roll each part into 4 balls and space equally onto a nonstick baking sheet.
- Place meatballs in oven and roast about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove meatballs from oven and let cool.
- Heat up your Heatily sauce in a separate pot.
- Slice open your baguette 3/4 of the way so it remains one, connected piece of bread.
- Combine meatballs and warmed Heatily sauce and place into sub rolls (of your choosing), 3-4 meatballs per sub.
- Add shredded cheese atop meatballs and place sub under broiler or back in the oven to melt cheese for another 2-3 minutes.
- Top with shredded basil or arugula and serve.
- Enjoy
Yields 3-4 hearty meatball subs.
This same meatball recipe can be used on pasta, Hors d'oeuvres, and as pizza toppings with generous helpings of Heatily on top!
